Privacy

This page explains what Sivimor collects, why, and what control you have over it. Plain language, because it is meant to actually be read.
What we collect
For your account: your phone number (used for one-time-code sign-in), username, display name, date of birth, bio, and a profile photo if you upload one.
What you create: polls and their photos, votes, comments, the topics you follow, and any reports you file.
Technical data: your device's notification token, the app version, and server logs kept for security and debugging.
Why
To sign you in, build your feed, send you notifications, and review reports. We do not use your data for targeted advertising and we do not sell it.
What other people see
Your username, display name, profile photo, bio, and the polls you publish are public.
Your phone number and date of birth are never shown to other users.
Votes are shown in aggregate: a poll's result shows the percentages, not who voted for what.
Who we share it with
Only the services the app needs to work: our SMS provider to deliver sign-in codes, Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications, and our hosting and storage infrastructure.
We may disclose information where the law requires it.
Keeping and deleting
You can delete your account from inside the app at any time. Deleting anonymises your phone number and username and removes your content from public view; only a timestamp with no identifying information is kept for security records.
You can download a copy of your data from the app's settings.
Age
Sivimor is for people aged 13 and over. If we learn an account belongs to someone younger, we remove it.
